Human resources are the quality of the effort a person does within a certain period of time to produce services or
goods. Humans are an important component in organizations that will move and carry out activities to achieve
goals. Risk is an uncertain condition that has a negative impact on the objectives of a project. The purpose of this
study is to determine the human resource factors that affect contractor risk and to determine the most dominant
factors affecting contractor risk in the construction industry.
The research method used is a quantitative method by collecting data using a questionnaire totaling 107
respondents at a contracting company in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The analytical method used is multiple
linear regression analysis, T test (partial), F test (simultaneous) and R test (determinant) with the help of SPSS
25.0 computer program data processing tools.
The results of the study show that human resource factors that affect contractor risk are work experience with a
regression coefficient value of 0.374, educational background with a regression coefficient value of 0.251,
emotional intelligence with a regression coefficient value of 0.183. Factors that have no effect are professional
competence with a regression coefficient of 0.246, physical health with a regression coefficient of -0.119 and
human behavior with a regression coefficient of -0.065. The results of the analysis stated that the most dominant
variable that had a significant effect was work experience with a regression coefficient of 0.374.
